IPL Photofacial
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) systems differ from Lasers as they offer a broad range of wavelengths as opposed to one wavelength lasers. IPL technology delivers infrared and visible light wavelengths simultaneously penetrating through the epidermis and dermal layers of the skin. The light stimulates changes at a visible level as well as at a molecular level, stimulating the revitalization and rejuvenation of skin cells. Over a period of time the skin appears much younger. Visible improvements take place in elasticity, collagen, redness and pigmentation and with regular treatment the skin becomes clearer, smoother and more youthful.
IPL Technology & Indication
The medical grade IPL system used at Sea of Esmeralda Beautique allows for a wider range of filters and rely on the expert dermal clinician to control settings according to the treatment required. Unlike older IPL systems, the medical IPL technology offers a larger variety of filters including 560, 590, 560, 615, 645, 695 and 755nm and function by blocking emission of shorter wavelengths of light. Apart from wavelength, a wider range of other treatment parameters including pulse duration, number of pulses, and delay between pulses are customized, affording clinicians greater versatility and precision in treatment. The main feature of IPL is its ability to treat various targets simultaneously.
The different filters absorb into targeted chromophore: haemoglobin (red), pigmentation (brown) and water (responsible for the collagen contraction, stimulation and visual improvements at cellular and molecular level) Using a range of Light Filters, IPL can treat a variety of conditions:
Indications:
Fine lines
Skin laxity
Open pores
Hair removal
Ingrown hair
How does IPL Photofacial work?
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-laser therapy that involves shining highly concentrated and intense beams of light intermittently on the surface of the skin. Photo refers to the beam of light, and facial refers to the face and/or neck region. The pulses of light target pigment and vascular irregularities, smoothing out the skin’s tone and texture.
IPL therapy helps to reduce the effects of aging, leaving clients with younger, clearer, and healthier-looking skin. It is not to be confused with laser therapy. Whereas laser therapy uses one particular wavelength of light, IPL therapy produces a spectrum of light.

Carbon laser facial
The Carbon Laser Facial is also call Carbon Laser Peel. As it provides instant radiance and glowing results with no downtime, this treatment can be done even a day before an important event making it popular among celebrities and lending to its other nickname the “Red Carpet Laser” or “China Black Doll” in Asia.
This safe and proven treatment combines the best of nature and science. Carbon is an organic substance renowned for its ability to absorb impurities while the Picosecond laser – a marvel of modern technology – rejuvenates the skin.
The Carbon Laser treatment exfoliates and purifies the skin, removing stubborn build-up of oil and other impurities which cause or aggravate acne and dulls your appearance. Removing dead skin cells helps promote the growth of healthy new skin and your skin will appear more radiant and evenly toned.
How does a Carbon Laser Facial Work?
After having a facial, we start by using a mild alcohol swab to degrease the skin to allow better laser penetration. Then a first pass with the Picosecond laser is done to remove surface debris and open skin pores. A thin layer of carbon paste is then applied evenly over the treated area. Once dry, a second pass with the Picosecond laser pushes the carbon particles deeper into the skin and pores. The activated carbon then absorbs excess sebum and other impurities from deep within the skin and beyond the reach of regular facial wash or scrubs.
At this stage, the skin is exfoliated and deep cleansed. The heat energy from the laser promotes collagen production which in turn strengthens dermal structures, resulting in a healthier, more even, and youthful looking complexion.
